Were the ten commandments literally engraved (or in some other way actually written) on stone?
How is it possible for an angel in heaven, e.g. Lucifer, to rebel against God and earn eternal damnation? Aren’t all inhabitants of heaven free of sin and the propensity to sin? To enter heaven one has first to be purified by the so-called fires of purgatory to atone for one’s misdeeds on earth,no? So when we go to heaven aren’t we at peace with ourselves? How can we be still tempted to fall into sin? Isn’t it bad enough to be tempted to sin in this life?
Granted that our human nature is imperfect: we are all subject to greed, lust, anger, selfishness, etc but why must we therefore conclude that this is the result of so-called original sin? Maybe there was no original sin at all in the first place. We are just humans in AD2005 taking part in a process of evolution from lower and less complex living creatures that are evolving towards the achievement of goodness in a world free of the evils of wars, sin, disease and death! Why must we always find a “scapegoat” for our miserbale human condition by blaming it all on our so-called first parents?
Is it binding in faith (dogma) to believe in all the miracles mentioned in the four Gospels?
Why has no one ever been resurrected at Lourdes or ever acquired a missing limb in the so-called miraculous waters there?
