Have any of you read this yet? It’s very good. It’s the author’s first, and if you like du Maurier or the Brontes I think you will like it. It makes many references to Jane Eyre.

It’s about this shy, bookish girl, Margaret Lea, who is a survivor of conjoined twins. She works in her father’s antique book store and is invited to write the long-awaited for biography of the aged and sickly Vida Winter, England’s world-famous writer, who has teased fans for years with made-up stories of her birth and life. It’s mostly set at Vida’s estate on the moors in Yorkshire, during winter. It’s part ghost story, part family saga. Just read it. 🙂
