Did you watch The Young Pope on HBO by chance?
I tried to, but couldn’t even get through the first episode, quite complicated and convoluted, slow-paced. Very weird series. I don’t know what they were trying to prove. I got the feeling it was a veiled allegory for Donald Trump.

The first episode is pretty peculiar, but the series is rather rewarding if you push all the way through, and while it seems to start at its beginning being rather anti-Catholic, I thought the way it tied things together in the later episodes made it clear that that was not the intent of the writers.

Agreed. I actually watched the first episode, lost interest, and didn’t watch anymore until about six months later when I was working from home and bored.
There was kind of a surreal feeling to it that I enjoyed.

I watched the trailer for The Two Popes last night on Netflix.
I was disappointed because I thought I had read the film had dropped
on Netflix. I was all set to watch it, but could only find the trailer.
The 2 actors seem well casted for their roles.
