The Universe did not have an absolute begining?

The subject of this thread proposed the false proposition that the universe did not have a beginning. You have failed to produce one shred of evidence to prove that false contention, but have gone on to make additional false statements without any basis in fact.
As far as I can see, you have provided zero evidence for any of your false contentions, including this one.
You are not exactly correct. Read the O.P. The question was raised do to a comment by Trent Horn which was incorrect. He later admitted he " dozed off " for a moment and misstated what he intended to say.

The intention of the post was to have Trent correct what he said. The intention was never to engage a general conversation to prove " that Catholics do not have to believe the universe had an absolute beginning. "

It has been extablished that Catholics do have to believe that the universe had a definite beginning in time because that is what the Church has always taught. It has even made De Fide statments to that effect. So there is now nothing to prove. The question has long been settled.
