I recently read an email that detailed the fact that Iraq is prominently mentioned in scripture as Babylon, Nineveh, Assyra, Ur, Mesopotamia etc… suggesting that the events occurring today in Iraq (the US involvement) are prophetic in nature. Then they quoted this little gem from the Koran:

Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

Is this an accurate translation ? What is the context that this verse lies in ?

If accurate would this be a strong reason to support the US involvement in Iraq ?

Sincerely in Christ,

here is Quran 9:11

“But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand”

If you want a copy of the Quran, so you can read for yourself instead of depending on others…pm me. 🙂
