The USCCB is a useless debating society, kind of like the UN. If the USCCB were truly concerned about abortion they would strike while the iron is hot and excommunicate the lot of them. Such resoluteness might actually gain the Church some new adherents who are tired of marshmellow religion and cause the Church to retain true believers who are constantly being offended by these weak-kneed “shepards.”
 
There are very many good bishops…We need their strong voices to resound among those who need more encouragement. Instead of criticism, I think it would be wise to add this organization to our daily prayer list! Ask our Blessed Mother to intercede with us as well!

Let me ask you this. Where was your anger when many of the bishops stood by and remained silent on the abortion issue?
 
I preached several homilies on respect for life and wrote several bulletin articles on it as well. During Benediction I prayed the Litany to end Abortion from the Priests for Life.I also contacted my local bishop. I also marched in the March for Life. I am actively prolife and volunteer at a Women’s Crisis pregnancy center. I am prolife…through and through. Not to mention, I also write regularly my senators and congressman about my disgust with their support for abortion laws.
