I pray for a unified front vis-a-vis the Catholic church and the Protestant churches, but I have often wondered how this could ever be achieved in light of the theological relativism and theological disunity which exists within the Protestant system due to the non-Catholic practice, sola scriptura, which seems to put the authority of the “bible alone” smack dab in the hands of each and every non-Catholic Christian, undermining Protestant ecclesiology - which has, and will continue to lead, to theological disharmony and relativism.
My question is, regarding theological disharmony and relativism which clearly exists within the protestant system, where we see unbiblical individualism practiced, (eg, one can merely jump to another denomination when some disciplinary measure or censure is called for, which is tantamount to ecclesiological anarchism) - which definitely undermines Protestant ecclesiology:
How can unbiblical theological relativism be overcome and how can theological unity and harmony in the protestant system be achieved, without which, merely leads to uncertainties and splintering within the Protestant system, among lay people - making Jesus more believable to the world, as per sacred scripture?
“I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me. And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me.” John 17
“…so that there may be no division in the body, but that the parts may have the same concern for one another. If (one) part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part is honored, all the parts share its joy. Now you are Christ’s body, and individually parts of it.” ! Corinthians 12
“I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles, in opposition to the teaching that you learned; avoid them.” Romans 17
“I urge you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same purpose.” I Corinthians 1 - 10
