I like to invite protestants to study the Theology of the Body, but think that all the Catholic sites and books might send some running in the other direction. I would like to have a good introduction for non-Catholic Christians that won’t scare them away with their Romanism.
I found the books by Sam Torode. He and his wife wrote Open Embrace about their decision to use NFP in their marriage. Then he started writing a series on TOTB. The two books out are titled Body and Gift and Purity of Heart. The other two books have not been published, he says because Catholic bookstores object to the art on the covers. He has since converted to the Eastern Orthodox church and also recanted his full endorsement of NFP.
I have gotten the feeling that any Protestant who checks him out before reading his book probably won’t read it.
Does anyone have any other Protestant writers or websites that address the late Pope’s teachings from a non-Catholic perspective?
