Theology of the Body question

I want to get the Pope’s book on the theology of the body but I noticed that there is a book out by Christopher West that translates the Pope’s book into “a language everyone can understand”. My question is should I go with the latter instead or will I miss something by not reading the Pope’s own words. I’m just looking for opinions from people who have read either one. I realize people probably have not read both.
