Hello everyone!

I just finished listening to a podcast about the science supporting Theology of the Body and now I want to dive a little deeper. However I have tried to just jump into the actual documents on this subject and it was overwhelming for me. I am also looking for material for my non-Catholic friend to read. I am philosophical and scientifically minded but my friend is social and emotionally minded so I have an extremely difficult time figuring out materials she would enjoy. Does anyone have any suggestions of resources (preferably free ones, as we are both poor college students 😛 ) that would be useful in learning more about this?

Thanks a bunch! 👍

I would suggest Jason Evert’s book “Theology of His Body/Theology of Her Body.” Jason and Crystalina Evert are Chastity speakers and they have an amazing website; www.chastity.com It has plenty of free resources and questions! I understand the feeling of being a broke college student! Haha. But, I know of a lot of books you could get off of Amazon! Other than Jason Evert’s website, you could check out Christopher West and his book, “Theology of the Body for Beginners.” Theology of the Body is pretty much my favorite topic, so let me know if I can help in any other way! 🙂

Emily.

Emily gave some good suggestions which I would second (even if they’re not free).

If you’re looking for something free, perhaps you might find the US Bishops’ document on marriage a little bit of an easier read:

Marriage: Love and Life in the Divine Plan

I’ve pulled together a lot of Church documents related to ToB on my website, but I’m not sure if many of them are easier to read than ToB itself. :o
