That is wonderful. But in a church that I use to go to in the summer, there were usually just a handful of people for morning mass. Also, 6 or 7 catholic schools are closing in the washington dc area. They are being converted into charter schools. Why?

And do I need to mention that only a fraction perhaps 10% of the Catholic French population attend mass regularly. The figure is not that much higher in Ireland. But I am glad to hear that all is well in your area.

And thanks for your unbias opinion of Mormons doing service in their churches.
so would you consider low activity rates and even lower temple attendance rates as evidence that mormonism is wrong?look up mormon attendance in france and ireland. the fact that in SOME areas individual catholics are “falling away” only proves the scriptures correct. the scriptures that LDS attempt to portray as prophesying a “great apostasy” are in fact speaking to jut this phenomenon. many people today scoff at religion, pick and choose their own dogma and turn away from God. you seem happy to impose your biased opinions of how bad catholics are and how great mormons are. I just thought it time to show the facts.

Here is the speech in two parts:

Readers should be reminded that the account of the talk was reconstructed from longhand notes taken by four brethren. It is also important to know that the Prophet’s enemies were within just a few months of bringing about his death. This reprint was taken from the Documentary History of the Church, volume 6, pages 302–17.

Both the first part and the second part were in the official lds church magazine The Ensign. Such is meat before milk. 🙂

The final sentence of the sermon reads:

I rejoice in hearing the testimony of my aged friends. You don’t know me; you never knew my heart. No man knows my history. I cannot tell it: I shall never undertake it. I don’t blame any one for not believing my history. If I had not experienced what I have, I would not have believed it myself. I never did harm any man since I was born in the world. My voice is always for peace.

And so it was.

I never said that catholics are bad and mormons good. But I have made the comparison that both churches have their problems.

when? where? everything i have seen you post here and at MADB is that mormons are great, their church inspired and led by true revelation and catholics are ignorant and apathetic but you feel comfortable hanging out with priests and nuns…where you correct them whenever they say anything you consider negative about mormonism.
