I am a life-long fan of The Beatles.
The song “Let It Be” was written by Paul McCartney. I realize the song was written and sung for Paul’s mother Mary.
But when I hear the lyrics, I believe it could also be about the Blessed Mother, as well, and the direction she gives to those of us in staying on the path towards Jesus Christ…His peace and His love.
Let It Be! 🙏 ❤️ 🙏

One of our priests during daily Mass gave his homily on this song. He referenced a commercial for a VW auto they will no longer be making and the song “Let It Be” played in the background. As, yes, this car was part of our culture for decades, but will be discontinued so accept it - let it be.

The priest also said Mary in the song could be referencing Mary, our Mother.

I do not know much about Paul’s childhood - what his
religion was?

McCartney’s Mom was a Roman Catholic. Paul was raised in the Roman Catholic Church.
