By the title, I am only attempting to be provocative here to attract readers; I have no intention of disrespecting women.
Many people feel that the church is sexiest. But while it is possible that the church might be sexiest, philosophically speaking there is nothing intrinsically evil or erroneous about the idea that God created men and women to serve different roles in-order to full-fill a certain end; at least it is not obvious or evident why that wouldn’t be true.
Thus it seems that this attack is based on appearance rather than objective fact. Women have been oppressed; and thus it is understandable that any role that excludes women is going to appear oppressive. But it isn’t necessarily true that women are being oppressed by being denied priestly vocations. If God wants men to be priests and women to serve other roles, then that is in Gods right insofar as the salvation of humanity is concerned.
However, at the same time Men must also accept that their right to rule is given by God and is not a tool to justify the exclusion of women from circular positions of authority. I do not believe in the idea that the only role of the women is to be at home looking after the children and giving birth to babies. If and when they have children, then surely they have a duty to perform, but then so does the father. Women have a right to work and to be leaders. Also, I would argue that not all women are suitable housewives. Some men are better at looking after the children and some women are better bread winners. I don’t see anything wrong with that.
