There's gotta be some Star Wars fans out there

My friend is throwing a Star Wars theme party, and needs ideas. It’s a small group of teens that’s coming. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
 
wish my grandkids were on this forum, they would have great ideas, have the entire saga memorized and act it out frequently. costume party, only make it minor characters and you have to guess the character and the movie.
 
Lots of latitude here, depending on the ages of the kids.

Bring in birthday cake with everybody humming the Darth Vader theme.

Games:

Everybody has to recite a favorite line from one of the movies,and identify it, e.g. Darth says to Luke, “I am your father!” Luke screams, “No! No!”

Darth says to Obiwan Knobe, “Now, I am the master!”

Commander of the Death Star says to Darth, “Release him Lord Vader.”

Alternative, someone says the line and others have to guess who said it.

Something thinks of a character and others can ask questions; first to guess the character gets a point.

Someone describes a scene and others must guess which movie it was in.

See who can make the best imitations of Chewbacca, Wookies, R2D2, C3PIO, Darth Vader, Obiwan Knobe, JarJar Binks, etc.

Lots of possibilities here. The local supermarket deli can probably supply a sheet cake with a Star Wars theme for a reasonable price.

If you’re looking to spend money on things to do, there’s a ton of games you can buy. Star Wars Trivial Pursuit, Star Wars Monopoly, etc. I think I saw Star Wars Risk the other day as well.

Another option is just to go simple. If you don’t own all 5 dvd’s/tapes, go rent them. Make sure you have lots of popcorn and soda, and do a marathon. It’s great to add SpaceBalls into the mix as well–what’s another 2 hours at that point?
 
I like Star Wars (prefer Lord of the Rings though), but lately I find that I enjoy the non-Lucas additions to the SW universe more than his movies- just check out the games Republic Commando, or Knights of the Old Republic and see how *The Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones *wither in comparison to their drama, creative inventiveness and all-out intensity
 
Darth Vader: What is it, General?
General Veers: My Lord, the fleet has moved out of lightspeed. Com Scan has detected an energy field protecting an area of the sixth planet of the Hoth System. The field is strong enough to deflect any bombardment.
Darth Vader: The Rebels are alerted to our presence. Admiral Ozzel came out of lightspeed too close to the system.
General Veers: He felt surprise was wiser…
Darth Vader: He is as clumsy as he is stupid. General, prepare your troops for a surface attack.
General Veers: Yes, my Lord.

I am also a big Star Wars fan. My sister got me a Vader helmet with built in voice modifier. It is a blast! It is hilarious to have my 2 year old wear it!

I had a friend once that had a beach party at his house (in Michigan) He got tons of sand and covered his garage floor with it. It was a blast! You could do the same and make yourself a Saarlac pit!!

You could have a lightsaber fencing competition! Make sure you use something flexible that won’t hurt. Like those foam things you see in pools.

No suggestions, but I am a big SW fan as well!!!

Can’t wait for the last movie to come out! Contrary to a lot of people, I loved “Attack Of The Clones”.

I say you go buy a bunch of the cheapy “lightsabers” and hit the pinata with one of those and let them have lightsaber fights. Watching the movies is always nice. I’m sure you can find Star Wars decorations too.
 
Arwen, my friend named her daughter Arwen after the character in the Lord of the Rings. Is that your real name or are you just of fan of this epic as well? 🙂
 
Make a Jar Jar pinata. Best thing you could do. Burn him in effigy. That’ll make everyone happy. Jar Jar must die. I realllly hope that someone sabers him in episode three…
