THERESE, the story of St. Therese of Lisieux, opens nationwide on September 30. This motion picture masterpiece beautifully portrays the ordinary life and the extraordinary soul of the Little Flower. Visit www.theresemovie.com for more information about the movie, which is rated PG. A successful opening weekend is crucial if this worthwhile film is to expand to even more theaters in the coming weeks, so please see this movie between September 30 and October 3.

Thanks for the info. I’m taking my high school Catholic club to see the movie on October 3rd.

Just curious, do you have a Catholic club in your high school?

Ah, if only it were playing on the east side of the great state of Washington. Who knows if I’ll have a chance to see it… 😦

Not to worry; it’ll make it to DVD eventually.

A Priest friend of mine saw it last night and gave it a tepid review. He was confused about what audience the director had in mind. He is an accomplished organist, and his comment on the music was that it sounded like a last gasp from the St. Louis Jesuits.

I heard that it is only being shown in larger cities, so I won’t be able to see it. Hopefully, the movie will come out on DVD.

:blessyou:

As we did NOT get the Passion in my town, I highly doubt we will be getting Therese 😦

Any movie with obvious overtones of the Catholic Faith rarely make it here. How sad that my town is missing out on such a beautiful story. I will just go over to the next town and watch it there.

I don’t have a Catholic club in my high school; however, I’m a member of my school’s Christian club.

I’m going with my nun friends on Saturday. Nothin’ like going to the movies with elderly Italian Sisters!

I would love to see the movie, I cant believe it is not even showing anywhere in the Atlanta area!!! 😦

Thank you CatholicNerd for the information. I’ve been looking forward to it being released here. I didn’t see it listed as a coming soon poster it any local theaters. I was praying it would be playing in somewhere in the Tri-Cities. I guess I’ll have to get the DVD.

Released Date for DVD is anticipated May 2005. 😦 that’s a long wait.

I went to see it when it played in Buffalo wich is a half hour away…a girl I knew made a deal with me that if I could find it then she would bring me…

…it was moving, funny and deeply touching…when it was over both of us wanted to go to church…

Now THAT"S a good movie!😃

I loved the film! I saw it the first week it came out. The thing that struck me the most was the love shown between the father and his daughters–it was just beautiful. It’s a very quiet little movie, but this is why I loved it so. 🙂
