Things to do instead of watch TV (just a few suggestions):
  1. enjoy the silence
  2. post on CAF
  3. clean ( flylady.net )

  5. listen to music
  6. go for a walk
  7. pick up litter
  8. volunteer
  9. write letters to soldiers…write Christmas cards to soldiers who might not otherwise receive them…
  10. prayerfully protest at an abortion mill
  11. organize a clothes drive or food drive for those in need
  12. enjoy the lack of commercials, MTV, soap operas, etc.
  13. read news online (untainted by the mainstream media)
  14. click on thehungersite.com and affiliated websites daily
  15. go to a concert
  16. go hiking
  17. go fishing
  18. go hunting
  19. cook
  20. play board games

Turn on the radio & dance.

Play hide & seek with your kids.

Also, books on tape from the library. If you have a tape-player walkman, you can do stuff around the house without missing anything.

Beside all the above:

Garden,
water the plants,
listen to the birds sing,
feel the spring breeze blow on your skin,
feel the sun shine on you
fertilize the plants and see them respond to this treatment in a few days

Go to Holy Hour

Spiritual reading

Clean house
Clean garage

Wash car

Wash windows

Check out recipes that are good tasting but simple to fix

Check with friends or relatives that you have not talked to in a long time

Last, but not least go to CA’s forum.

adore Jesus in Perpetual Adoration
go to Mass
go to Confession
write in a journal

Hunt jackalopes
chase rainbows
play Pin the Tail on the Snail
become a Gourmet Insect Chef
sharpen your pens
bake a cookie
run up and down the stairs
wash all of your socks
build a rope bridge in your basement
sleep
talk to your fish
drink a gallon of coffee

Clean the dust bunnies
Look out the window as nature does it’s thing
Daydream and make up stories of how you’d like it to be
Sing as much as you can (as long as no one is there)
Clean out the junk drawer

When I’m not indulging in my CA forums addiction, I indulge in my other addiction, crocheting. I am also starting to learn Latin.

All this sounds very exciting. 🙂

visit people in nursing homes and homebound people and help them to have a great day

dust (my least favorite cleaning activity…but then, I haven’t tried cleaning the toilet yet!)
