Or whatever one calls it, I don’t exactly know. I’m talking about one of those things with a small crucifix and and chain or something attached to it you put around your neck.

So where can I buy something like this? I don’t need an $80 one made of pure gold or something like that, but I’d also like something more than a cheap one of plastic.

Also, should I wear it under or over my shirt? I know one could say that wearing it over your shirt could be witnesing to your faith, but it seems a little to attention grabbing and possibly showy for me. Just wearing it under my shirt would be enough to remind me who I belong to.

If there is Jesus on the cross, we call it crucifix.
You can find a local Catholic bookstore and buy one there or you can go online to search for an online store.

They are not expensive. I don’t know if they sell anything in plastic but mostly metal, and they are probably under $30.

You can wear it outside or inside your shirt. It is up to you.

Any of the larger stores (Sears, Penney’s, Kohl’s, etc.) should carry these in the jewelry department. Even the K-Mart/WalMart/Target stores would probably have them. If you want to get more bang for your buck, check out the pawn shops – you might be able to find a solid gold one for the price you’d pay for gold-filled if you bought it new. If you don’t need it before Christmas, check out the eBay listings and other online vendors. Happy shopping and Merry Christmas!

Well, I wear an inexpensive (CHEAP!) 5 inch San Damiano crucifix, paper glued onto wood. A shoestring holds it around my neck. I wear it outside my shirt as a statement of faith.

the best way to get what you want is to get the crucifix and the chain or cord separately I have found. go to www.rosaryparts.com to get every kind of crucifix from tiny gold ones to large rosary sized base metal to enamel all for very reasonable prices–$2 -$20. Then get a cord or chain you like. I think a nice thin leather cord is very masculine and you can get that in the sewing notions/hobby dept of Walmart! (or Michaels the craft store). You can get silk cord too but it is harder to keep it knotted. Otherwise I get alot of stuff from eBay. Just make sure you check the actual size–sometimes the pictures are misleading.

PS----here is the direct link–seee if it works for you:
