If people were to obey the word of God I wouldn’t have been born, my grandmother had a divorce and had My dad with her second husband. I might talk to the preist about this but is this something I need to confess? Was it taken away at baptism? Can I receive communion on Sunday?

Michael, speak to your Priest and your parents about your scruples. You will not find peace from your worries until you find offline help. CAF is only hindering you with this, because it gives an instant hit to soothe your anxiety. But then it comes back and ramps up even more because you’re ignoring the problem instead of treating it. You need to do something about this, as soon as possible.

You have done absolutely nothing wrong. Think logically, and what you know about your faith.

@Lou2U has given you excellent advice. A therapist would really be able to help you with this. In the meantime, take a step back and think about this logically – have you ever heard any Catholic teaching that would require you to confess the sins of other people? This situation has nothing at all to do with the state of your soul – try to be at peace.

@Michael-kaw, I hope the fact that you’re liking posts recommending you seek help means you will do so. I cannot overstate the importance of speaking to your parents and a Priest, and how much good it will do you. CAF is actually impairing you. Please talk to someone offline.

You have some serious mental issues that need the spiritual direction of your pastor and the guidance of a therapist. Tell your parents yo are struggling with these irrational fears and thoughts.

Michael, please talk to someone. You can get your scruples under control if you just get the proper guidance and help.

I’ve come to realise that CAF only helps short term but it could make it worse over time. From now on I won’t start a thread if I have a question (usually). I would probably ask a priest.

I’m really glad to hear you know CAF is bad for you with with this. I hope you’ll talk to your parents and your Priest about your scruples because they’re at the root of your questions. If you get help for them, you’ll be able to answer your own questions and stop your anxiety.
