Mother Mariana did, indeed, die three times. Historic and documented evidence record that this holy religious truly died in 1582, and returned to life. A truly holy religious who was blessed with receiving the prophecies of Our Lady of Good Success, she was praying before the altar one day in 1582 when our Lord emerged from the tabernacle suffering as He did on the cross, with Blessed Mother at His feet. Above Christ’s’ head were 3 swords with the writing - “I shall punish heresy, blasphemy and impurity.” Mary said that this punishment would be for the end of the 20th century.

The Holy Virgin continued - "my daughter, will you sacrifice yourself for the people of this time?’ She replied, “I am willing”. Immediately the swords buried themselves in her heart, causing her death. She now stood before the judgment seat of God, who found no fault with her. He offered her a choice to receive her crown of glory now and remain in heaven or to return to earth, to suffer in the world for the people of our times. She chose to suffer and her life was returned to her.

She died again on Good Friday in 1588 but when the nuns returned to the choir at 4am on Easter Sunday, to recite the Little Office, they found Mother Mariana praying at her normal place. The sisters screamed and ran out in horror, certain that they were seeing a ghost.

Interrogated by her confessor and the Abbess, Mother Mariana explained that upon this, her second death, Our Lady had placed her soul in another state of purification and she had suffered a mystical purgatory that lasted until 3 a.m. Sunday morning. God then placed her soul back in her body, restoring it to full strength and vigor.

Thus was the soul of this humble virgin prepared and purified to receive the apparition of the three Archangels and the Sovereign Empress under the invocation of Our Lady of Good Success, as well as for the great trials and mission reserved for her.

This time she would continue her life for 47 more years until her final death in 1635.

I’m skeptical, especially in time frame this took place, where people were sometimes thought to be dead and buried alive.

It also contradicts the Gospel

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:17

How does it contradict the gospel? Jesus says to His apostles in the Gospel of John: “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father. And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:12-13) And again He commanded His apostles: “Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons. Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.”
And following Jesus command, we have in the Acts of the Apostles Peter raising Tabitha from the dead (Acts 9:40), and later Paul raising Eutychus from the dead (Acts 20:12).

Read what I just posted.

Also, read the Divine Mercy.

This alleged apparition shows a god who loves us conditionally, not unconditionally.

It’s not the God preached in the Gospels.

Uhhh, not totally sure I’d agree with you there, multiple Saints have brought people back to life and many many more have suffered for either sinners, Holy Souls in Purgatory, or in reparation so I guess I’m kind of wondering why you think this means God is conditional vice what we know, that His mercy is unconditional. So my question is why??? Why don’t you think it’s real?

For the record, I totally believe and love the Our Lady of Good Success story.

And we have people today who have experienced what is called, Near Death Experiences, NDE.

Many saw Jesus and heaven and it was love and joy they experienced.

Yet, the same people who believe in the apparition of this thread where Jesus is a God of vengence and wrather, say today’s people who have NDE’s as being misled by Satan.

But even without NDE’s, those who have experienced the divine love of Jesus Christ, know without a doubt that He is a God of Love and Mercy.

If it were not so, St Paul would not have had the mystical experience of seeing the risen Jesus, as he was persecuting the early Christians. But God in his mercy, chose Paul to tell us the good news of salvation and that God is a God of mercy and love and all we are required to do is return that love and to love our neighbors.

We must detach from a dualistic belief in God, i.e., God is good, those who don’t believe are bad, and understand just as Pope Francis said, “we are all God’s Children.”

Until we see everyone and everything as connected to God and one another, we’ll end up creating a division between ourselves and the rest of the world who don’t share our beliefs. It’s been the crime of all religions and it always begins when religion gets in bed with those of power and wealth.

The readings this week from the writings of St Paul, tell a far different story.

God is love as Paul himself wrote.

Hold on now - I, the poster, believe in what I posted and also believe in NDE’s. God is love and mercy - of course - but when people don’t respond to that and shut Him out it gets to the point when God has to do something - which He does many times in the old testament - 1. has a prophet speak to the people telling them to stop sinning and return to Him and 2. if you don’t I am going to punish you big time.

I believe there are now many prophets in the world speaking in different languages. I read these regularly. Few peope are listening. I, for one, expect this country to be punished in the next few years for our sins of abortion, immorality, and excessive materialism - to name a few. A great many people in this country want nothing to do with God. Others, who may call themselves christians, are for the most part, that in name only. In my diocese of chicago less that 20% of baptized catholics go to sunday mass.

Wake up, Catholics!!! (and the rest of humanity)

OK, my apologies for painting with a broad brush, but in CAF, NDE’s are rarely accepted, but attacked viciously.

First, God is not going to punish the United States, nor has he punished other nations for their sins. Yeah it says this in the Bible. but this is tribal theology from the Old Testament, where every bad thing that happened, was because God was punishing them.

Sin brings it’s own consequences. Its akin to drinking a bottle of poison. It’s not God who punishes the person for drinking the poison, but rather, the consequence of drinking poison.

The same is true when we sin. It’s the consequence of sin that we suffer from.

Here in the United States or any other nation. When the nation becomes self-centered, greedy and full of hatred, the nation will bring up itself the consequence of these sins.

The Ten Commandments are not laws for us to be obedient to out of fear of being punished, but rather the way toward true freedom and happiness. God gave them out of love, not as a threat.

Jesus two great commandments, to love God with our entire being and to love our neighbor, are the summation of the Ten Commandments and all are the way to living in union with God.

The apparition in your post is contradictory in that there was never a greater time of heresy in the Church than the 16th century. Pope’s were at their worse and of course it was during the Reformation.

Also, the apparition is not a approved by the Church from what I can see, so placing a devotion in it, can be damaging. Even if it is, it’s considered private revelation and not required belief.

Our nation is in trouble and it’s the consequence of people not loving God and neighbor.

In the end, God in his mercy will save us and that is the hope every person with faith should have.

At Fatima Mary said God he would send a greater chastisement to humanity (than that of WW 1 happening at that time) if we didn’t repent and return to God - so, I do agree with you that sin creates its own punishment, but there is also God’s direct hand in dishing it out - so I think it is the combination of both.

You calling God’s ways “tribal theology” doesn’t paint a true picture of who God is, I think. You give the impression you believe that God has abandoned one of His ways of getting His children’s attention and of showing them the consequences of their behavior.

These apparitions have been approved by the bishop at that time - he observed the miraculous finishing of the statue by angels. All this is well documented.

Mary said that apostasy and masonic influence will infiltrate the church at this time in our history - and there are many who believe that is exactly what is happening now. There is certainly two “camps” of belief among our leaders and laity which many are trying to downplay and sweep under the carpet in hoping the Holy Spirit will help us resolve this crisis.

Sister Lucia of Fatima said that the final battle between Christ and satan would be over marriage and family - and we certainly see those issues at the forefront of the differences of opinions among church leaders.

All this makes complete sense when you also believe in the vision of Pope Leo 13 in 1887 - which is well documented.

You don’t have to believe the apparition - but that doesn’t make it untrue. These apparitions are sister to the Fatima apparitions - there is no doubt.

Not a difficult prediction to make. The world has been at war 20 years or less over the centuries.

Not doubting Fatima, but it was for that time, not necessarily a prediction of our own time.

I’m calling how tribal Hebrew relationship with God as tribal theology, not God.

Even Scripture states the difference between God’s revelation of the past and that of Jesus Christ.

n times past, God spoke in partial and various ways to our ancestors through the prophet:in these last days, he spoke to us through a son, whom he made heir of all things and through whom he created the universe. Hebrews 1:1
These apparitions have been approved by the bishop at that time - he observed the miraculous finishing of the statue by angels. All this is well documented.
Fatima was approved, not sure about the apparition of the OP.

Either way, neither are required for Catholics to accept.
In that time, Masonism was on the rise throughout Europe and the US. They were very opposed to the Catholic Church.

As most prophecies, they deal with the current time they are made, not as predictions for us to see.
Sister Lucia of Fatima said that the final battle between Christ and satan would be over marriage and family - and we certainly see those issues at the forefront of the differences of opinions among church leaders.
I have no doubt about this. We see the consequence of broken families.

But, is the consequence God’s wrath or the consequence of the sin of broken families ?
All this makes complete sense when you also believe in the vision of Pope Leo 13 in 1887 - which is well documented.
Again, for his time, not necessarily a prediction, unless you believe that God would suspend free will.
You don’t have to believe the apparition - but that doesn’t make it untrue. These apparitions are sister to the Fatima apparitions - there is no doubt.
The apparition contradicts the Gospel message of God’s Mercy and Love through Jesus Christ.

It’s sets up conditional love of God and a sense of hopelessness.
