This is a remarkable essay on love. The sort of essay that stretches and opens one’s mind. I suspect someone like St. Francis of Assisi could have written something like this – although he would have included God of course which would have made it all the more better. I think any devout Catholic will easily read God into it.

Please don’t be turned off by the fact it comes from the Village Voice or that it uses the term “a**hole” ( 😐 ) twice – once in the title and once at the very beginning of the article. The rest is clean and very well written. It’s a response to the title…

Given some of the arguments that take place here on CAF, I think quite a few members would benefit from reading this essay (it’s actually a response to a letter.) I know I did.

Definitely worth the 5 minutes it takes to read. Enjoy.

It’s a crafted work, that’s for sure. Too bad more don’t invest the 5 minutes to read it and another 10 to ponder it.
