I just watched the older movie “Moonstruck” (Cher and Nicholas Cage) again yesterday. If this is your favorite movie or something, don’t keep reading this post!
Anyway, I got a kick out of the Catholic “props” in the movie (Loretta going to confession, that the and her mom both wore a veil in church, the priest using Latin for the absolution in the confessional, etc) the characters didn’t seem real – they themselves were just New York Italian caricatures. Anybody agree - disagree? I get it that’s it’s really just a rom-com, it’s just that the setting was the best part of the movie.
