Sickening, yet I have a feeling she may be right about Roberts.
A couple of statements I found really disgusting:
I wouldn’t want to be a Republican politician the day that suburban mothers learn there’s no legal way to end their 16-year-old daughter’s unwanted pregnancy.
new restrictions would have nowhere to go but up the income ladder. And the upper-middle class would not tolerate them.

She may be right about Roberts, but maybe not. He is a consummate lawyer, and lawyers think in terms of law and legal precedent, not particularly in terms of philosophy of life and personhood.

But I wonder about those suburban moms. How big a constituency is there of people who want to preserve the right for their daughters to abort, “just in case?”

And I wonder about the doctors. I’ve heard that there are fewer and fewer who are willing to do abortions, so the abortion clinics end up with the less competent ones. The next big push may be to mandate abortion training in medical schools, if it isn’t already. Abortions can’t be done if there are no docs willing to do it. Will the law force them to do it?

I fear she is right on the money about Roberts. I pray I am wrong.
