Thousands march against ‘gay pride’
‘Normal Parade’ brings out Poles opposing special rights for homosexuals

worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=44863

Touting red-and-white Polish flags, thousands of members of a Polish youth organization opposed to special rights for homosexuals marched through Warsaw today in a so-called “Normal Parade” in answer to a recent “gay pride” event in the city.

Speaking to the marchers, League of Polish Families leader and member of parliament Roman Geirtych said that as a predominantly Catholic country Poland could not build its future on “pederasts” but rather on the family.

The LPR is currently on the campaign trail ahead of Poland’s Sept. 25 parliamentary elections and the Oct. 9 presidential election.

The parade was met with heckles and verbal abuse from members of “Stop Fascism” – a left-wing group that held a small counter demonstration in the city center.

A heavy police cordon separated the rival camps. No incidents of violence were reported.

During the march, protesters came upon a couple who had just been married. The marchers gave them a hearty welcome with long applause, chanting, “You are the real future of Poland” and sang them “100 lat” or “100 years of Life,” a popular song in Poland sung during birthday parties and anniversaries. Young Catholic activists presented the young couple a T-shirt with their logo.

YYYYYYAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! 😃

Hallelujah! If only more people did this!

I hope they succeed!

Michael

P.S. :banghead: AAARRRGGGHHHH sticking up for the family is NOT fascism!

Does anyone have an email address so that we can give them our support. Does anyone speak Polish?

I can speak a bit of Polish, my dad is fluent. When I heard this newspaper report, I was glad, finally somone is sticking up for normality. I live in Toronto and they have a “pride” parade every year, I just wish somone did something about it here, but of course, thats not going to happen 😦

EDIT: Unfortunately I also wouldn’t be surprised if marching against “gay pride” wouldnt be a crime in Canada, with the current state of affairs in our country.

YAY! The Polish so rock! And I love ‘100 Lat’ awsome song… starts singing it to herself

I speak it, we have to at home. It’s a rule! But I can’t spell, sorry >< I would write something, but ah… it would be wrong. :o

Great news. It’s about time 97% of the people on this planet had their say instead of being bamboozled by 3% who are ‘proud’ of being deviants.

on that regard, I just have to say I hate when people flaunt that 10% number that kinssey suggested is the percentage of homosexuals, I used to here it from my activitist teachers all the time , if they were to do a legitimate survey they would find that number is much to high.Probably closer to 2 or 3% like you just said.

I suspect marching against gay pride may be at least not good form, probably somewhat dangerous, but not illegal per se, depending on the form which the statements take. However, I don’t think there is anything wrong with marching for life, which includes the Church’s ‘idealism’ concerning marriage.

So far the issues have been divided, and organizations have created a bit of turfiness. The Church’s teaching however is comprehensive and meant to be taken as a whole. That is if the heterodox and the ACs would bother to take time out from their lattes to read the Church’s teaching.

Personally I feel we should be doing more to include and empower (non-practising) ‘gay’ Catholics. It is wise to be aware of what ‘information’ is out there and who is authoring it. The gay lobby must be tempered by the views of ‘gay’ Catholics for, I believe, the gay people who profess to be Catholic love the Church very much and have much insight to inject into the mix.

Actually, it might be better to empower those who are dealing with the CROSS of Same Sex Attractions to take more of a leadership role on this:

Here’s is their paper on chastity - we heteros should do so well:

I would much rather see Gay Catholics and those who are conflicted deal with these people or a chapter affiliated with them than with one of the many groups championing the “Gay Agenda” who try to say that homosexual ACTIVITY is not sinful.

Otherwise, we can all remember that we all need the same grace and the same forgivenes, and that God saved us all from the same dire situation. That should cause us to pray for God’s grace to be poured down on all of us, esp. those who have to deal with that particular cross.

Blessed arethey who act to save God’s Little Ones. Michael

Peace be with you!

WOW! A couple friends and I were just talking about this the other day (not this particular one; I didn’t know they had one until just now). We were saying that if we did a march like this in the US (a “straight pride”), then we would have people yelling that we were bigots and that it was a hate crime. And yet when gay people do it it’s something to be celebrated…

In Christ,
Rand

Sorry if I seem like I’m stealing the thread, but…

My friend actually just invited me to protest with him for marriage at an upcoming “gay pride” parade… Being as this is Canada, though, I’m afraid we might be arrested… Do you think if we stand to the sides (my friend wanted to block the parade… no thanks!) and hold up signs saying stuff like “1 man + 1 woman = marriage” we would get arrested? I mean, I don’t exactly have the money for bail…
