Hello, as the title indicates, it is an analogy. We experience space in all three dimensions at once even though each dimension is distinct.

There are a few problems with the analogy. According to Einstein there are four dimensions, not three. And according to modern string theory there are about ten dimensions, with the extra dimensions curled up and not immediately visible.
