Alright, fun game here.

You can only listen to three songs before you leave this world. Or to make it less morbid, you can only listen to three songs before you are shut in suspended animation tube and locked away in a space ship since an asteroid is going to crash into the Earth. What three songs are you going to listen to before that happens?

I have to think about mine for a bit.

Ave Maria - Luciano Pavarotti
Days Like This - Van Morrison
Into the Mystic - Van Morrison
alternate: Bright Side of the Road - yea, you guessed it, Van Morrison

This list could change occasionally, because there are many, many more I love.

That’s #1

That’s #2

That’s #3

Here are mine.

This Piano Guy’s rendition and mash-up for a relaxing musical experience.

East Bound and Down. Mainly for something upbeat and that has a banjo.

And FInally…O Sanctissima (preferably slower than this version).

Okay, one more.
You Raise Me Up - Josh Groban (especially the you tube version set to scenes from The Passion of the Christ. - this is assuming I can somehow bring a computer !!😀😀

If you question refers to my last post, through the dying part after I have received the Sacrament of the Sick, or the SA part in the spaceship, provided I can bring Monica Belluci along with me.

  1. “On Earth As It Is In Heaven” and 2. “Gabriel’s Oboe” from “The Mission” by Ennio Morricone
I have to think about the third one.

A couple from Handel’s Messiah: And The Glory Of The Lord, Trumpet Shall Sound, might take me awhile to pick two there - that is off the top of my head. Bach’s Little Fugue in G Minor.

But, no worries. I am confident there is music in heaven. I have never doubted it. Music has frankly played a pretty key role in getting me to believe in heaven. 🙂

Miss You by the Rolling Stones
Chopin Ballade in g minor performed by Vladimir Ashkenazy
Elegie by Rahchmaninoff…played by me.

Music is the only art of heaven on earth and the only art of earth that we take to heave,

ME2! I thank God that my parents put me in Catholic schools where I was in the children’s choir and got to learn the Latin and English songs for the church seasons, even the Requiem Mass!
As I got older the words keep coming back and I see how BEAUTIFUL and spiritual and holy they are…

Ennio Morricone is an underrated genius. If I were a composer and could write one song as well as he does I would die happy.

Each of these songs is over 20 minutes long. I’m going to stretch it out as long as I can before I go into suspended animation. 😜
