My heart is so full of everything wonderful, new and welcoming God’s Grace has given me with coming to His Holy, Apostolic Church
(not in order of importance of course! Have I left anything out? What do you think?
I love the stained glass windows,
I love Christ in the Real Presence (NOT a mere symbol – I will be at the table Easter Vigil)
I love the Crucifix,
I love the alter,
I love the Clergy and their commitment to us,
I love our Bishop who is so kind and sweet and faithful to Christ,
I love their being a Holy Father – I’m so thankful SOMEone is in charge! (also another thread),
I love the our Deacon and his sweet wife,
I love the RCIA leaders and their spouses who so lovingly share their spouse with us,.
I love the Minister of Education,
I love the people,
I love the music,
I love the liturgy – BOTH of them,
I love the statues,
I love the candles,
I love the kneeling benches,
I love the piano (I’m trying to love the organ, but that’s another thread)
I love our Music Minister’s voice when she is the cantor,
I love also her enthusiasm,
I love the little grey hair ladies who sing in that choir as if they were singing in Heaven,
I love having a Guardian Angel,
And I love having a patron Saint,
I love the hymns,
I love the children sound in the back of the church during Mass, some of the little babes say something joyfully and while unintelligible, it sounds like they are professing and glorifying God (I believe they ARE, if Jesus said rocks could glorify him, certainly babies can!)
I love all the Saints (even the legendary ones),
I love the martyrs,
I love our Holy Blessed Virgin Mother Mary,
I love the Rosary,
I love having all the books in my Bible that should be there,
I love the miracles,
I love the smal adoration chapel, and how the light shines over the alter when the sun magnifies through the upper stained glass window,
I even love the dog (really love the dog) (our Priest has a dog who occasionally comes with him as he comes into iour RCIA class to meet with us – a very well behaved sweet dog)
What would you add?
