Dont know where to put this so ill put it here. Are there any websites out there that will take you through the bible in 1 year. I mean the catholic bible not the incomplete protestant bible. PAX CHRISTI

Alternatively, you could go through the Bible in 3 years by simply attending daily Mass and listening to the readings. 👍

I have a book called How To Read The Bible Every Day: A Guide for Catholics. It contains a 1-year, 2-year, and 3 year plan for reading through the scriptures. It was put together by a certain Carmen Rojas and published by Servant Books. The ISBN is 0-89283-399-8

I use the three year schedule for lectio divina.

You are very much welcomed! I love CHN! It is awesome … 👍

Going through the Bible in one year is not necessarily a “plus.” I initiallty read our Bible twice, cover-to-cover, and was sad at how little I got out of it.

Then I discovered Bible typology, discussed in Dei Verbum and CCC 128, 129 and 130, and all of a sudden I realized what I was missing. Now, it’s not so much getting through the Bible that is important, but rather chronically “partnering with” the Bible.

That is a great site I didn’t know about it!

Last year I read the Bible in a year. Since I travelled some I wanted to have INternet access to the schedule, so I used bible.com/dailybibleplan/kjv.html to see what to read, and then just read it in my RSV-CE version. I came back toe Catholic books after.

This website interests me greatly however I am unable to access it. I continually get error messages. Does anyone know how to rectify this or have any similar sites to recommend?

That link is actually to an Acrobat reader file. Do you have Adobe Acrobat installed?

There is a free version here

Thanks awalt. I do have adobe acrobat but there must have been some problem as it is letting me access it now.

Many thanks

By ‘Catholic books’, do you mean the 7 books of the Old Testament that would not be included in this reading plan?

I just printed out the PDF file. I’m probably not going to use it right now because I already have a Bible reading plan mapped out for at least the next month or so, but I want to have it available so that I can keep track of what I read when I start to read through the whole Bible again.

That CHNetwork document is wonderful! I am a new convert, coming in to the church this year, and this will be such a great help to me. I’ve been looking for a good plan for the Bible and Catechism, but the ones I found were either non-catholic versions or took too long (three years is just too much for me as I love reading). Thank you very much!
