Time lag to original sin

Is there any Catholic teaching that indicates the time lapse from the creation of the first humans to original sin? Wondering if it was hours, weeks, years etc. that went by before Adam and Eve sinned.
 
You’ll find no such timeline in Catholicism. Some Protestants have come up with all sorts of metrics regarding Biblical time. But I don’t recommend them.
 
I tried for years to figure out such a thing.

I finally realized I was on a fools errand.

Adam and Eve is a story of theology, with philosophical implications regarding faith and morals.

Trying to get historical chronology, geology, cosmology, astronomy, or any other natural science or study out of the book of Genesis is a waste of time.
 
As I recall, it was about 2PM on a Wednesday that all the Sinning took place… Now, about a week before that, there was some disagreement in Heaven and God canned Lucifer. Just saying what I heard… :man_shrugging:t2:
 
I couldn’t have been very long. It’s not even clear whether they consummated their relationship before they were tempted.
 
I heard a Jewish man say, quite matter of factly to other Jews, without much flak or disagreement, really in passing, that it was one hour between the completed creation of the first humans and the fall.
In Catholicism we do not have an explicit tradition regarding this that I am aware of.
