No more divisions of christianity! We are no longer a religion but the body of christ! Arms do not work as legs, we must work as one and unite the saints! Catholics, go hug that protestant and orthodox be there for the catholic. We are no longer different, we are puzzle pieces of the lord’s kingdom, no longer do we not fit together because we are one! No more denominations, for we are all of the same body and we are the workers, we shall bring the harvest plentiful before the drought! We are the kingdom on earth! Do not be afraid to tell your friend who died for them! No longer be afraid of being called a jesus freak, no longer be afraid that you may disrespect someone! For when we share the gospel we do so to bring them salvation, not offence! The world needs us so help them! Thank you father so much for everything! You have blessed us all and we ask that you baptise all who read this in the holy spirit! Bless all who do miracles in your son’s name, and bless all who have faith and are not afraid to show their love for you! 🙂 thank you father!

We may wish the union, but it is not in human hands. I think this has been extensively discussed, debated, argued and quarreled in another recent thread (forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=736379).

The same arguments would be just repeated here, and that would be just waste of time and very little conductive to unity. It is abundantly clear that when we come to doctrine and ecclesiology, the only union that the Catholics can accept from their own positions is an unconditional surrender of the Protestants and their return to Catholicism.

And I can follow their argumentation. If the infallibility of the Church and its magisterium is an article of faith, then there are no other options. Admitting that the magisterium coud err in matters of doctrine would collapse the whole fabric. I can respect that, but I do not think that we Protestants can just forsake our Faith and submit to something that we see as purely human traditions raised to Dogmas.

Since we nowadays, however, qualify as Christians according to the catholic teaching, the only way to establish, if not unity, at least some common witness towards the unbelieving world would be mutual love. That is, according to Christ, the sign by which His followers are known, and that was, what the pagan Romans wondered. They said, according to old testimonies : “Oh, how these Christians love each other”. Not. “Oh how terribly clever these Christians are in doctrinal disputations”

Time to live the message of the greatest words ever spoken. Love Thy Neighbor.

Matthew 25:40

‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’

I like the thought of everyone coming together. I wish it not just for Christianity but for EVERYONE. 🙂

A Baptist lady told me one time that she was going to pray for me because I was Catholic. I smiled and told her I was thankful for her prayers and I will return the favor and pray for her as well. We pray that all will join in Christ’s Church and they pray for the same. The key point is that we are all praying for one another. May we never stop!
