Well, I’m home at least for a little while. I just spent the last 24 hours in the hospital but was sent home with stalled labor. I finally got the cervical stitch out yesterday afternoon since I had contractions that were 30 min. apart. I was 3cm dilated when she removed the stitch. I was very lucky I didn’t rip. She sent me over to the hospital for monitoring, contractions were decent, not close but at least they were happening. I managed to get to 4cm and 75% effaced by this afternoon and had a choice to stay or go home.
After deliberating on that, I decided to come home knowing full well that I may have a difficult time getting another IV started in my hands because 3 of the best veins I had popped when she tried to run a line yesterday. My hands are so sore. I’m a wimp when it comes to IVs. I can handle labor and childbirth better than getting an IV. Weird I know.
But I’m still having contractions. I feel funky…like something may happen tonight or even tomorrow. I cleaned the whole house tonight and got all the kids ready for bed for the first time on my own in a looooooong time. I think I’ve walked more these past 24 hours than I have in the last 4 weeks.
Please keep me and baby in prayer. I’m ready to have her. But only God knows when her exact birthdate will be.
