I figured I would talk about tiny countries. I mean, countries that are very small, and largely dependent on other countries. Such as, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Vatican City, Luxembourg and Nauru. I was just curious if anyone on CAF is either from any of these places or has been to any of these places. I imagine a lot of y’all would have been to the Vatican. I think it’s an interesting discussion. For the record, the largest country I’ve been to by total area, is Canada. The largest country I’ve been to by population, is the United States. Since, those are the only two countries I’ve been to.

I am legitimately really curious about this. The closest town to where I live is 3.30 square km. By contrast, Monaco is 2.02 square km.

I have been to the vatican and to Monaco. On the sametrip, while driving we saw a sign for Luxemborg but it was a little distance so we didn’t go there.
Here in the US, we have some small states like DE and RI. Many of the European countries are the size of our states. The really small countries are more like the size of an embassy or a millitary base that is set up in another country. Like Gitmo Bay is a US base in Cuba.

I remember we had to drive through Delaware when my sister lived in New Jersey, and it took like no time at all to get through.

adam I live very near delaware. Taking 95, its only half an hour. But its an oddly shaped state and along the ocean, where its longer, its like 2 hours.

That’s a bit like Belgium. From east to west, from Luxembourg to Ostende (where you catch the ferry to cross to England), it’s a three-hour drive. But from south to north, when you’re driving from France into Holland, you cross Belgium in three-quarters of an hour.

I’ve been to San Marino. A lot of it’s on a hill, with a castle at the top. I saw quite a few gun shops, and a Christmas shop, which was weird (and busy!) considering I went in August. I didn’t see too much though, because I only went for the day. Very nice, though.

A little different than belgium . De is not far from east to west at all but it \is wider in the northern end. From north to south on the eastern side , along the ocean, it is much longer than on its western side. Kind of shaped like the number nine.

Citizenship is a 1.5 billion dollar investment for my newfound monarchy.

OTOH, there is no sales tax in Delaware, so it’s great place for making large purchases.

If you have enough money, you could actually buy your own island . Which is an intriguing idea.

I think I have 30 some odd cents. This is why I’m asking for a 1.5 billion dollar investment.
