Hey guys!
Long story, but I’ll make it short and sweet. I am planning on simplifying my spiritual life. Lately, I find that I am learning so much about God, but yet I am so disconnected from him. Back in my conversion period, I was so on fire, reading the Bible, journaling, etc. Now, I am addicted to learning about the faith to the point where it eats away at my actual relationship with Christ. I even find myself question things such as the resurrection and other important doctrines because through my endless Internet research, I’ve heard so many different opinions and information on it it drives me crazy.
To make life simpler, I am first off deleting my account here. It’s too much of a distraction. I am going to fast from looking up theological and philosophical topics to prevent my mind from overloading. I may delete my twitter account, and will restrain from overusing my Facebook and the Internet in general. Finally, I am going to focus on reading the Bible and the long list of spiritual books I have on my shelf reflectively.
Before I go, do you guys have any tips on leading a simpler Catholic life? Like any ways of reading the Bible or creating a nice prayer schedule? I honestly just want to enjoy life like I used to while being faithful to Christ.
Also, pray for me on this journey, thanks!
