What do you mean by “tithe to your own ministry”?

I have a bucket of money I set aside monthly for tithe to my parish and other ministries. I guess I feel weird using this money to go toward a ministry that I run. But I’ve often wondered if that would really be inappropriate or not.

What do you mean? I still don’t get what you are saying heretoward a ministry that I run.
You have a 501c3 you are a board member or executive director of?
Or you volunteer at the food pantry and want to give them money?
Or???
Anyway, it is perfectly fine to monetarily support a charity you also volunteer with.
The Church doesn’t call us to tithe. It calls us to stewardship of time, talent, and treasure— each according to their means.tithe
