I know parishes keep financial contribution records on each parishoner in order to give them end-of-the-year statements for tax purposes. But does the Church keep individual contribution records permanently or does it purge them each year? In other words, is there a record somewhere of how much total money I have tithed to the Church?

no the parish or charity only keeps those records as long as required by tax laws, then they are purged and destroyed according to record retention schedule prescribed by the diocese. anything with identifying info must be shredded, including your envelopes after amounts are recorded at the end of their retention period, by federal privacy laws. this also applies to other personal info, except for records which are permanent by nature: sacramental registries for instance. these records stay in the parish unless parishes are closed or merged, in which case they go to the new parish or the diocesan archives. most financial records are either 5 yr or 7 yr retention records, and you have a window after that to destroy them. an example of longer retention or even permanent financial donation records would be of real or personal property, such as land or stocks, and the record of that donation would be retained until the property is disposed of by the diocese, parish, order or charity.
