How did you know dairy? It’s a very small family farm. We have chickens, guineas, nubians, a jersey - who is due to calve on june 15 :extrahappy: Is it bad to pray for a heifer? and a little holstein/angus heifer that will probably do the stanchion next season.
I do have a big garden, but it is now completely overrun by 3 foot high grass and weeds since I neglected it due to exams the 12 inches of rain we got two weeks ago didn’t help either. I haven’t mustered the guts or the energy to clean it out yet.
We’re really lucky because we have really really really nice neighbors who rolled hay from our fields for us…they didn’t even charge us. Last year they sent over 50 bales of hay for the goats. Aren’t nice neighbors truly a God-send?
We were adopted by a pair of peafowl, but they’re not mine…even though they perch on the porch all night and like to spend a lot of time peering inside our kitchen patio doors. And they kick our chickens out of the henhouse and eat their feed They’ve settled in quite nicely. They don’t even mind the dogs… Home Sweet Home
I’m sorry I missed the homily, but at least I know who St. Isidore is now
