I haven’t been on the forum for a while but just wanted to thank all my Catholic friends with whom I’ve interacted over the past few years - once I learned this forum is ending soon.
Most Catholics have been respectful and kind to me, and helped me understand Catholicism better. I must admit that I had some erroneous ideas of what Catholics believed when I first arrived on CAF. However, I have always had an open mind and a genuine desire to learn, which I consider positive traits for any person - which served me well on CAF.
Although I have not yet converted to Catholicism (only God knows what the future holds ), I just wanted to thank those Catholics who were patient and understanding in explaining the Catholic faith to me over the years, many of whom ceased posting a long time ago (I hope it wasn’t me who drove them away, lol).
As a result, I now politely but firmly correct fellow Protestants when I feel they take an undeserved “cheap shot” at Catholic beliefs or Catholicism as a whole, and I owe this to those of you who helped me learn over the years.
Although many of my favorite Catholic posters have come and gone, I wanted to say “thanks” to all of you who remain with whom I dialogued, laughed, shared a prayer intention or two, or with whom I shared a few jokes.
All of you mean more to me than you know, and I thank God for you. May God bless you and be with you now and always, my dear friends in Christ. I pray that our paths will cross again in the future. If not on this earth, then my goal is to greet you in heaven some day, Lord willing.
