hello everyone,
thanks for all your advice so far, i will certainly try and make a better effort with my singing, many thanks, mick.

I’m new to this board so I don’t want to make enemies - LOL. AND I CAN’T SING TO SAVE MY LIFE. **But **I do sing. I can’t remember which Saint said - singing is Praying twice. I’m sure the Lord does not care what you sound like (After all God gave you the voice), but your singing for the Lord and that is what he sees and hears.

Lessons - maybe not a bad idea. Me - I’m so bad, I’m to embarassed for lessons. LOL.

Hi ONEHOLYAPOSTOLIC,
Code:
That's a cool name. Welcome to the FORUM. I can't sing either. But I do sing at Mass. If God doesn't like my voice he can always change it. I wish He would, so I could sing love songs to serenade the ladies. :tsktsk:
Oh, by the way the Saint who said about singing is praying twice was Augustine. I know because I asked the same question on earlier post .

Pope John XXIII supposedly said, after his election, that “God knew for 77 years that I was going to be Pope. You think he would have made me at least a little photogenic.”

That’s my view of the voice thing. Sing with the voice you’re given. Don’t worry that it’s not good enough for anyone else to hear. Just sing. 😃
