To keep my husband, who is in poor health, safe from coronavirus

I would so much appreciate some prayers for my husband Peter, age 62. He has been self-isolating this week thought it’s unclear whether his symptoms do actually mean he has coronavirus, and at this point he cannot be tested. Just as it happens, he has been at home sick with other long-standing health issues which have flared up over the past month, and he also has diabetes. Despite all this, he does not strictly fall under the category of ‘high risk’ and I am terrified he will be pressurised to return to his care job too soon. He is very dedicated to his work, and under any other circumstances, he would go back as soon as he could drag himself in. This recurrence of health problems is also very worrying, but it’s so hard to get medical checks at a time like this. I have my own health issues too, but am mainly concerned for Peter. We live in a small apartment which doesn’t make things easy either, but the main thing is staying safe. Please pray for us in this situation, but especially for Peter’s health and that he will not be put at greater risk.

Father please bless this couple and keep them safe. May they be healed by the grace of the Holy Spirit. May they follow in God’s word and walk strong in Christ. Only you can heal us father. In your name, Jesus amen!

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Peter). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Peter’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
