Thinking Outside the Box Game

Rules:
  1. Pick a religion other than your own.
    Example: A Christian could pick Islam
  2. Pick three (3) beliefs found in the religion you’ve chosen and make arguements for it.
    Example: Mohammed’s ascension, and think of arguments that support it
  3. Make counter-arguments against the religion that the poster above you has chosen.
    Example: Poster above has chosen Buddhism, so you must come up with arguments to debate the beliefs of Buddhism
You’ll be focusing on arguing for your religion against other users and arguing against the other religions of other users. This game requires some concentration and is an excellent exercise of brain power, so if you feel you can handle the heat, than jump into the fire!

The first user in the game only has to argue for his or her religion, but everyone is free to argue against his or her religion.

Let the game begin!
 
Mormonism: (I apologize to Mormons if I misrepresent you faith as I am only trying to follow the game. Any misrepresentations are not on purpose and are of my own lack of knowledge of your faith)

  1. Marriage in heaven:**
Why would I not want to be connected in heaven with the person who I married on earth?

“ And I will give thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. ” Matthew 16:19

Since marriage is an ordinance of the Church, and is bound by the church, it will also be bound in heaven.

2) Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ:

It bears witness to Christ and anyone who comes to it with an open mind and no preconceptions will see that it is truly the Word of God. (Sorry guys no scripture verses to support this belief :o )

3) Baptism of the Dead:

Baptism is necessary for salvation, so those who die without it need to be baptized by proxy in order to share in the promises of Christ.

Corinthians 15:29: “Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?”

I can see this thread leading to a lot of headaches and hurt feelings… but we will see
