Can anyone explain today’s gospel reading to me. My pastor didn’t touch on the reading and I honestly have been stumped by this one for a long time.
It’s the parable of the steward who is getting fired so he calls all his masters debtors in, has them write down a reduced debt to his master and then the master calls him in and says he is done a great thing…
How is that a good thing? He has basically cheated the master out of the debt that was rightfully his! What is Jesus trying to teach us here? This is one of those that just confuse me to no end…
