I know on this day it may seem like a minor issue, but I was wondering if anyone could recommend a catechism for toddlers. My son is 17 months old and loves to look at picture books. He already has a nativity book, so I thought as I am starting to take him to Mass, he might like a Catholic picture catechism or missal.

This is the book I have for my sons. One is 26 months and the other is 14 months. The only problem with this book is that now that my older son is talking more, he likes to name the pictures in the book: “Father”, “church”, etc. We have a couple of board books about Easter that we’ve taken the last few weeks as well.

My younger son also really likes this book. Apparently it’s very tasty. 😉

I haven’t really looked around at a lot of other places - this is a link to our local Catholic supply store - but I couldn’t find a lot of children’s Missals that were for toddlers. Most of them had paper pages and that’s not a road I want to go down, KWIM?

How about hole punching some laminated prayer cards and using ribbon to make them into a “book”? teethable, fairly durable, and faith formation-ish worthy… Just a thought. Personally, I can’t think of anything better to chew on the a catholic missel though!😃
