The response I got was: “You think that means water baptism?!?! There are many kinds of Baptism in the Bible and this doesn’t mean water Baptism.”How about baptism, John 3:5?
My fundamentalist friend said to me “Oh that doesnt mean baptism. I dont know what it means, but its definitely not baptism.”

There is no problem with any of this, as far as I’m concerned. My major question on authority is that the modern Catholic view of universal jurisdiction and papal infallibility when speaking ex cathedra seems to be missing from the early councils, and is disputed by Orthodoxy, who also claim Scripture and Tradition.II. 1 Timothy 3:15
