I need a printed resource for students to be able to look up answers about our faith on their own.

In groups of 3-4 students present assigned topics and time is very limited. They’re required to make persuasive and rational arguments backed up by scripture and the CCC. They’re given a compendium, a CCC, a student Bible, and often handouts I throw together myself.

The indexes in the resources we have right now are insufficient. I have to create direct references myself. I want to keep it so that they are looking up and discovering answers on their own, not being spoon fed the answers from me line-for-line. Try looking up the magisterium quickly.

The Rev. Father Felix Just, S.J., Ph.D., one of the translators of the 2025 NAB-NT revision project, has an awesome index and website called Catholic Resources:

http://catholic-resources.org

Also the Interdisciplinary Encyclopedia of Religion and Science, put out by the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome have a tremendous resource over at http://inters.org

That is a great website. I do wish he’d update the visuals, though. If I didn’t already know that he keeps the page updated regularly, I’d think the site hadn’t been updated since 1999. 😜
