I was raised Catholic by my mother. I went to CCD, received First Communion,and attended Catholic school for 2 years. While I was not alowed to be confirmed a memeber, I went through all the classes, invertviews, service projects, and attended the mass.

A bit confusing here, as if you received First Communion you were most certainly confirmed.

By virtue of your Catholic baptism you remain Catholic. Like all Catholics you may wander (even minor sins being a form of wandering). The baptismal graces you receive through Jesus Christ are not withheld from you.

If you are a convert, yes…but as a cradle Catholic, you go to first confession and start receiving the Sacraments at an early age…it is not until Junior or Senior year (in most cases) that you are confirmed.

And yes we use and believe the Bible.

And in it’s use I see your a wise individual. Because then the answer can be found in it and it gives us a clue. We know we can recognize Jesus’ true Church because he created one Apostolic Church of succession. There is only one today where the Apostolic line can be traced right back to St. Peter just as Christ had intended it to be.

You had it right all along and I think you’ll come out OK because Jesus never fails to help those looking for his true Church. You just need to respond.

The priest was right. Best get the children baptized as soon has possible. But what follows and required is a firm commitment in the true Faith, because you will need to set the example and teach them has baptized children have a right to be and you are obligated to give.
