Total Consecration Monfort Yearly Renewal Date Question

Hi, I am going to be making my Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary by the way proposed by St. Louis de Montfort this Monday, the Feast of the Annunciation; and I had a question about the yearly renewal of this consecration reccomended by St. Louis de Montfort, do you renew it on March 31 yearly, the day I am going to make it, or the normal feast date: March 25? Thanks!!! I reccomend this Consecration to EVERYONE, it’s a life changer!!!👍

I am sorry I don’t know the answer, but may I be excused to ask a related question here?

When you first got consecrated, did you do at the church during mass by a priest? would you do the same thing for the renewal. Last time, I went to a first Saturday mass, and near the end of the mass, a lady stood in front of us and did the consecration.

My spiritual director, a priest, also told me to do this in a mass too. I didn’t ask him the reason why it needs to be done in front of everybody.

I don’t believe so for Montfort does not say to do so in his writings and this site fisheaters.com/totalconsecrationmontfort.html
Says the following:

On the day of consecration, either fast, give alms, or offer a votive candle for the good of another (or all of the above); do some spiritual penance and approach consecration in the spirit of mortification.

Now go to Confession (or, if that is not possible, go during the 8 days prior) and then receive Communion with the intention of giving yourself to Jesus, as a slave of love, by the hands of Mary. Try to receive Communion per the method described in the Supplement of the book, “True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary” above.

Now pray the words of the consecration. Copy them and have them with you at church, read them after the Mass (in front of the tabernacle would be nice), and sign your copy of the Act of Consecration. I have prepared the Act of Consecration in a relatively decorative Microsoft Word Document for you to print out and sign, if you desire (just right-click and choose “Print Target,” or right-click and “Save Target As” to download to your hard drive for printing later). Renew on the feast of the Annunciation each year (whatever date it falls on, usually March 25).
 
My wife and I are taking our TC tomorrow–but after mass. Several are retaking their TC as well. Our pastor announces it after the homily then invites those retaking their consecration to approach the sanctuary following mass.
