I very much wish to do a total consecration to Jesus through Mary, I plan to start the spiritual preparation on January 9 and do the consecration on February 11, the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes. I was wondering if there is any book or other material available online for this, I would have wanted to get the book written by Father Michael Gaitley, “33 Days to Morning Glory" but I couldn’t find it available online to download. I glimpsed though the traditional method of St Louis de Montfort, but I would like to use a more updated version.

Maybe you have any suggestions ?

Fr Gaitley’s book is probably the best one if you want a modern approach. It’s not available for free online afaik, but it’s often available free at parishes or to borrow from a parish library. At the church I attended yesterday I just saw 3 free copies sitting out, and earlier this year another prayer group was handing out free copies.

The alternative is to do St. Maximilian’s 9-day consecration, which is free online, but it’s theologically more complicated than Fr Gaitley’s version, which covers St. Maximilian’s material in a more user-friendly way.

I never heard before of the St Maximilian’s 9-day consecration, I will definitely look into this 😉
I live in Europe so unfortunately Fr Gaitley’s book is not known or available here.

I’m sorry you can’t get Fr. Gaitley’s book there. It’s a very good book. I just used it to renew my own consecration to Mary (as once you do it you are supposed to renew it each year).

Here’s the link to the St. Maximilian Kolbe 9-day consecration. This is actually the original consecration I did. I always liked St. Maximilian and I admit I was a bit drawn to its being only 9 days instead of 33, although I have since done both of the 33-day methods (Gaitley and de Montfort) as renewals in different years.
