TOTB crash course?

heyyy, I recently got into a discussion with a rather confused friend of mine, and I promised him I’d find some theology of the body info to look through. However, he’s not the type of person to sit down and read a few-hundred page book or listen to 8 hours of audio lectures. Does anyone know of any good, simple, short online articles that give a basic understanding of theology of the body?

Theology of the Body is a series of sermons given by Pope John Paul II. They explore the way God designed us as male and female. It has big words, doubt you’d like it.

I don’t mind big words, just stupid morality.

If you’re referring to wanting to learn more on the the stupid, purely animalistic morality of sex taught is our society, you should avoid listening to the JPII talks. Listen to almost any mainstream gangsta rapper for that.

Alternatively, if you want intelligence, go with JPII. 👍

Justification for much of Catholic sexual teaching- the three speakers I listened to were very good, and by very good I mean very good about sneaking in baseless assumptions that allowed them to prove their conclusions.

Make sure your friend is very sleepy when he listens to them, otherwise he might catch the trickery.

And I don’t recall any particularly big words.

And what baseless assumptions are you accusing the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, of sneaking in? HE is the author of Theology of the Body.

Or, did you just hear someone talking about TOTB?

If you recall the thread I ‘hosted’ a while back, some speakers came highly recommended. I listened to those speakers (or rather, three of them), and they are the ones I’m referring too.
