This is awful. One of our friends is 6 mths pregnant…Dr’s found a growth or tumor near her uterus on the first sonogram…said they would keep an eye on it. It is now tripled in size and has tree-like branches. It is also by the baby’s head, but outside the uterus.

Her options are: (she has to remove it, or it will kill the baby)

1)remove it, it’s not cancer, and the baby does not go into preterm labor.

2)It is cancer; remove it and get chemo, which will kill the baby.

3)Remove it, and abort the baby and take chemo.

4)It is cancer, remove it but don’t take chemo have the baby, then possibly die from cancer.

Awful…her name is Jenny. Please pray for her.

St. Gianna Molla, please pray for this dear mother, Jenny.

St Gianna Molla had a similar situation in her life and one which helped propel her into sainthood.

I don’t understand why no biopsy was taken right away to determine the nature of the growth. As you describe it, your friend has now no option other than to have the growth identified without delay and then examine the treatment options.

This is an absolutely heartwrenching post to read. Will you keep us updated as to the situation?

I will pray for Jenny and her baby.

~Jess

I will! I did read about St. Gianna, and have asked for her intercession. Very very sad. It seems like its the exact situation that St. Gianna faced.

yes - so let us pray. There is always hope and God has a plan for this dear mother.

Praying - also, I have twin nieces born at 7 months. With today’s technology, preemies have a good chance.

Praying for Jenny, the baby, and her family! Have started a prayer chain. There are many prayers being said for her at this very moment.

Thanks for all of the prayers! She had her surgery on Tuesday. They had to actually take the uterus complete with baby out of her body, remove the tumors (there were 2 of them, completely different cell masses) and replace the uterus and baby. The tumors were benign!! That means no chemo, and if she doesn’t start preterm labor, all will be good. All signs are pointed to her being okay.

Praise be to God!

wow. Medicine can be amazing. Thank God that she is OK at this point and the tumors were benign. More prayers are needed I think for the baby.

The news sounds very optimistic, and I’ll continue to pray for her, the baby, and all concerned, including the MDs. God bless them all.

Thank you St. Gianna for your poewrful intercession and thanks and praise be to God!

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you very much.
I beg you to spare the life of the unborn child that I have spiritually adopted and who is in danger of being aborted.

I promise to pray this prayer every day until you tell me their delimna is over. ❤️ :gopray2:
