You can call me an old lady with a lack of humor, I won’t be offended 🙂
…

Thank you and all who are answering this thread. I always enjoy the debates on Catholic Answers Forum.
If you’re an old lady, then I guess I’m a fossil. Hey, that offends me! 😃
There’s nothing to debate here, really. How you feel is how you feel and there’s no point arguing about it. It’s what you DO about how you feel where issues arise. Good discussion.

I and my family have STOPPED shopping at Trader Joe’s ever since I found out they are a supporter of Planned Parenthood. That should tell you what their agenda really is.
Now there’s a reason to boycott them.

As for the “two new leads” ad I heard that as an Irish joke at least forty years ago & it was old then.

Yes they are, very sad because my family loved shopping there. We also stopped eating at Olive Garden and Red Lobster because of their support.

I doubt Olive Garden is feeling any pressure because of the boycott. The place by me is always, ALWAYS, busy. Line out the door busy every single night. I call it the McDonald’s of Italian restaurants because people seem to flock there without thinking.

Well, I suppose the purpose of a boycott is partly your own personal statement that you will not support Brand X even though you know they will continue to thrive.

I don’t know if anyone remembers the controversy about Amazon selling a guide to man-bot love or whatever it was, but I deleted my deleted my account only yo find many of my favorite Catholic bloggers and authors still sell exclusively thru Amazon.

That’s interesting to me that they say Olive Garden is new to the PP list. I knew people that were boycotting them 12 years ago because they were on the list. Maybe they went off the list and came back on again. 🤷

It is my opinion that such boycotts do little to hurt the company but much to hurt our friends and neighbors who work there.

Not that I do not protest in my own way-for instance I refuse to prepare tax returns for people to have W-2s from Planned Parenthood or any other Dr.,or organization that performs abortions. My belief is any money I take fom them is blood money. I do not see that this is the same issue with boycotting Olive Garden because they have made contributions to Planned Parenthood or Amazon.com because they carry books we find offensive.
