My wife and I are expecting our fourth child soon. We are at an Ordinary Form parish, but would like to have her baptized using the traditional form of baptism as we did with our other 3. The three prior baptisms were done by our previous priest following mass. Our new priest likes to have baptisms done during mass. I don’t really have a preference either way, but I think it would be a good thing for people in the parish to get their first experience of the traditional rite.

Is it permissible to use the traditional form of baptism during mass in the Ordinary Form?

No. It is not. The two forms cannot be mixed.

Aside from that, it’s really not possible to insert the Extraordinary Form of Baptism into the Novus Ordo Mass without disregarding some of the rubrics. None of these are significant enough to matter in the end (by that I mean “it is possible to force it”) but doing so would necessarily mean ignoring some of the rubrics.

Depending on how firm he is on the “baptisms during Mass” practice, you might ask him to make an exception and do it immediately after the Mass. That’s certainly possible.
